On this edition of Alive in Christ Radio LIVE, we carry on with our discipleship series. According to research, most Christians are confused about what it means to become a disciple that, in turn, makes more disciples. This is our teaching as we discuss, “Discipleship: Know the Truth.”

It is our prayer that you be Spirit-filled and blessed by what you will discover on this unique edition of Alive in Christ Radio LIVE.

During these two hours, we will learn how God’s perfect love and faithfulness can help us walk hand-in-hand with God—leading us through this life into a life of total victory, in all things, through His anointing, discernment, and great comfort.

Special Guest: Billy Jack & A’leta McDaniel (Christian Authors and Burn Victim Survivor)

We round out our program with features including Joyce Meyer’s “Everyday Moments”, Focus on the family’s Plugged-In Movie Review and Focus on the Family Minute, Beth Moore’s “A Quick Word”, Luis Palau’s “Reaching Your World”, and Dave Ramsey’s “Daily Money Makeover.”

On this edition of Alive in Christ, Christian Discipleship Ministries’ Founder, Tony Marino and Lynn Kennedy explore life’s guidelines verses His “God-lines”, and will it be “your way”, or “Yahweh?” We invite you to join us.

On this episode we will learn to, “let go and let God.”

“The harvest is great, but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37

Alive in Christ Radio LIVE || In-Studio Guest: Jack and A’leta McDaniel

Dead Man Breathing recalls a 2006 oil rig explosion in which Billy Jack McDaniel was burned on over 97 percent of his body. “Muscle and skin and stuff, it was just flying off in chunks,” he writes. Five years, countless hospital stays, and more than 120 surgeries later, McDaniel and his wife A’leta share their experiences and describe the determination and faith that kept them going.

“I believe I’ve got a strong testimony to share,” Jack says. “God left me here to spread the word. Each one of us is given a unique life story with our own set of circumstances. We can choose to either be a victim or a victor; to cast blame or Glorify God.

“In my case God revealed Himself to me in a way like never before. I was trying to wake up from surgery and my eyes would not open. I couldn’t see. They had sown my eyes shut and it was total darkness. It was there that I begged to die, but God spoke to me then and made me a promise. He has given me an ability to understand things and apply the understanding to wisdom in my personal life and I want to share it with others.

“I have spoken to several different groups of people from the elderly to the young. I have spoken to schools and churches teaching about fire safety and emphasized the importance of not making fun of people because they look different. I know how it feels, now. I have a desire to tell my story to all who will listen, and hopefully, change lives.”

Title: Dead Man Breathing: The Incredible True Story of One Man’s Rise From the Flames

Description: “Explosion on the rig! Fire on the rig! I’m on fire!” My yells turned to screams that were absorbed into the whoosh of the flames . . .

The fire is gorgeous—teal blues, glittering yellows, oranges, reds—all swirling together and lighting up the night sky. But engulfed in the middle of this blazing inferno, Billy Jack McDaniel is literally roasting to death. What starts out as a normal working day on March 3, 2006 in the oil fields of East Texas is quickly transformed into a situation that brings about what many believe is the worst work-related burn injury in history.

In the blink of an eye, this event changes a young couple’s “American Dream” into a nightmare journey through the fires of tragedy. With burns covering more than ninety-five percent of Jack’s once strong, strapping body, his survival and eventual recovery seem impossible. Most people, including the health-care professionals, do not expect him to live. There is nothing for which to look forward but pain, suffering, and an agonizing death. Yet, Jack’s loving, determined wife, A’Leta, and their little girl, Carney, support him with unyielding love and faith. A’Leta insists—almost supernaturally—that despite the grim prognosis, her beloved husband will survive his injuries. She knows that Billy Jack McDaniel has the heart of a lion and an incredible will to live.
