For the vast majority of her life, Kathy R. Green has been a woman of prayer. Born into a Christian home, Kathy was introduced to this fruitful way of life at the age of ten. It was in this environment, even before accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior that she learned to talk to God. Kathy loved spending time alone with the Lord and in fact, it is this momentous pastime that led her to become the woman of prayer she is today.
Kathy has been an intercessor for over thirty-five years now. She has developed a deep compassion for people, especially those suffering in their marital and family relationships. She longs to see God’s people whole: growing spiritually, living in the blessings of God, and experiencing the benefits of consistent fellowship with Him. In March of 1998, Kathy received a mandate from God to teach people how to pray and intercede on behalf of others. Ever since then, she has devoted her life to the study of God’s Word, and writing, while serving in her local church. Thankfully, Kathy’s own life is a testament to the validity of prayer. She has seen God’s handiwork in many situations, including marriages that have been restored, family members and co-workers that came to Christ, loved ones delivered from the bondage of drugs, and her twenty-four year old daughter healed of lung cancer. These are all great examples of the kind of precious fruit resulting from the power of effective and fervent prayer.
Throughout her life, Kathy has gained extensive ministerial training. She started out volunteering in children’s ministry and did so for a span of fifteen years, and from there she served in various roles of church leadership. After attended and graduating from the Life Bible Institute in Troy, Michigan, Kathy and her family relocated to Texas, where she and her family became members of The Potter’s House, founded and pastored by Bishop T.D. Jakes. There Kathy has been able to pursue more concentrated ministry training. She is an alumnus of God’s Leading Ladies Life Enrichment Program through Woman to Woman Ministries headed by First Lady Serita Jakes, as well as a graduate of the Lay Counselors Training Program offered by The Potter’s House (TPH) Center of Counseling and Behavioral Health. It is the culmination of this training, coupled with her life experiences, that has allowed Kathy to author her first book, Pray-ers Bear Fruit, which she co-published with Creation House.
Kathy actively disciples Christians across the country! Primarily through one-on-one discipleship, teaching them how to pray effectively and stand in the gap for their loved ones as they learn to trust God. She maintains her consecrated lifestyle while traveling to teach in seminars, workshops, and conferences, thus fulfilling the mandate on her life. Kathy and her husband, Cliff, are celebrating their twenty-seventh year of marriage this year, and they have two adult children. Their son Jordan attends college at Texas A&M university on a full athletic scholarship, and their daughter Emonne and son-in-law, Stephan have given them a beautiful granddaughter name Grace. Kathy and her husband Cliff enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.
