Barry Adkins grew up in Kalispell, Montana. After graduating from high school, Barry worked on commercial fishing boats in Alaska until he moved to Arizona where he now resides with his wife, children, and grand children. The death of his son, Kevin, radically changed his life and he set out on a mission to help teenagers understand the negative effects of binge drinking and to help parents understand their teenagers and deal with adolescent behaviors that can have a serious, lasting impact on the lives of their families.
Barry’s life work is to speak to as many people as possible: high school students, SADD and MADD chapters, churches, youth groups, educators—anyone who has a child in their life and drive home this basic truth; there is no such thing as just a “little” alcohol.
