What do people think about you? Should you care about what people think about you? What does God say about you?

It seems as though every time we turn around somebody is judging our dress code, our spending habits, the way we raise our children, and even how we worship God. Who are these people who do their very best to define who we are? How should we respond to such everyday scrutiny?

You will be pleasantly surprised at what you will discover on this unique edition of Alive in Christ Radio LIVE.

During these two hours, we will learn how God’s truth inspires us to seek and embrace His unfailing love and ability to lead us through what other people might think about us in order that we may achieve a life of total victory, in all things, through His anointing, mercies, and grace. Joshua 24:15.

Special Guest: Christian vocalist and music artist, Jme Medina.

We round out our program with features including Joyce Meyer’s “Everyday Moments”, Focus on the Family’s Plugged-In Movie Review and Focus on the Family Minute, Beth Moore’s “A Quick Word”, Luis Palau’s “Reaching Your World”, and Dave Ramsey’s “Daily Money Makeover.”

On this episode we will learn to, “let go and let God.”

“The harvest is great, but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37

Alive in Christ Radio LIVE || In-Studio Guest: Jme Medina

Jme Medina has impacted today’s youth and adults with her positive lyrics and mainstream beats in a powerful way! If you’ve seen Jme’s show or listened to her music, you will agree that Jme is one artist to remember! She has a passion to inspire people to actively pursue an intimate relationship with Christ and to live it loud without shame. Her voice and ministry is anointed beyond her years and leaves a lasting impression on those whom she ministers to.

Jme’s debut CD “Lay It Down” was released in 2006, and was produced by highly acclaimed artist/producer John Katina of The Katinas, Kene Ghost Bell (Stacie Orrico, Out of Eden, Grits, etc), David Rogers (Baby Bash, Nino Brown, Remnant), and the late Jerome Jefferson. Writers on the album include Jme Medina, John Katina, James Katina, Sharee Katina, Kene Bell, and Chris Faulk (Jaci Velasquez, The Katinas, Amy Grant..).

Jme is currently working on her second Pop record with 5 time Dove Award Nominee and Producer Victor “Liquid” Oquendo (Toby Mac, Out of Eden, Grits, Dj Maj, John Reuben, MTV, The WB’s, America’s Top Model, Petey Pablo, Liquid, etc…), and will hit stores and radio networks in early summer 2011. Fans will not be disappointed!

She has performed in venues ranging from small intimate settings to military bases, Carnival Cruise lines, Major Convention Centers., numerous church congregations, youth and college groups, high schools, elementary schools, the Las Vegas Strip, and a number of outside special events and major festivals. Although Jme is a newer artist to emerge onto the scene, she was the featured release artist on SOS Christian Radio network (which serves over 12 different states including her hometown of Las Vegas, NV), certain secular stations, and overseas her music can be heard in countries such as Australia, New Zealand and Canada. She has also recently been added to playlists in NY, AL, NC, FL, GA, CA, NY, and MD. The album “Lay It Down” has been a favorite among youth, college age and adults! She was also featured as LATIN ARTIST SPOTLIGHT for Christian Activities Magazine (Nashville, TN) and was nominated for best new Positive/Christian Artist for the LAS VEGAS Music Awards.

Jme has shared the stage with artists such as: The Katinas, Natalie Grant, Zoe girl, George Rowe, Kristy Starling, Tammy Trent, Russ Lee, Kara, The Godkinz, Paul Wright, Everyday Sunday, Mercy Me, Chris Tomlin, Petra, Falling Up, Rachael Lampa, Stellar Kart, Salvador, Russ Lee, Grits, Barlow Girl, Newsboys,2-Five, Patty Cabrera, Ricki B, Prime Minister, SOP, George Huff (American Idol), Mandisa (American Idol), Brock Gill, Starfield, Stephen Hurd, Kirk Franklin (w/Remnant), and Israel Houghton (w/Remnant), Ashanti, among many others! Touring is extremely important to Jme because of the personal contact she would not otherwise get among the people she ministers to.

Jme’s heart and vision has much to do with her life experience and desire to encourage, inspire, and edify the body of Christ. Due to the style of her music, she is able to attract a widely diverse audience while crossing cultural and spiritual barriers. She attracts the lost and hurting with her light that is so evident in her lyrics and music.

Her ministry is especially effective for youth, teens, and women. She normally travels with her band for a Full Concert, or travels as arranged by the venue.

If you would like Jme to come minister in your area, please contact us as soon as possible so we may schedule your event. She is currently booking dates for her new CD coming out Summer 2011!

Alive in Christ Radio LIVE || Christian Book of the Week:
Author: Joyce Meyer
Title: Approval Addiction: Overcoming Your Need to Please Everyone

Description: Joyce Meyer, author of the million-copy bestseller Battlefield of the Mind plus more than 60 other books, addresses the constant need some people have for approval. This need stems from insecurity, which, in Meyer’s own case and in the case of many others, arises from abuse—physical, verbal or emotional—sometime in the past. After years of struggle, study and attempts to live out biblical teachings, Meyer happily reports that she now lives for God’s approval alone. For readers beginning the journey to recovery, she offers biblical exposition and sound—if unoriginal—self-help advice. The first step, she says, is accepting who we are and where we stand in God’s eyes. “We must learn to think about and believe in our righteousness,” she declares. The second step is facing our approval addiction and the feelings of shame, guilt, anger and unforgiveness that come with it. Finally, we must break our behavior patterns in the future. Meyer admits that she “will always be a type-A… in fact, most of the time I am type A+.” Her writing bears out her self-assessment: it’s strong, pointed, no-nonsense and even pushy. But Meyer knows what she’s talking about, truly loves God and wants people, with God’s help, to overcome their addiction to human approval. Her goal? “I want you to become addicted to Jesus!” (Apr. 5) –This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
